Alprazole API is a key ingredient used in the production of proton pump inhibitors (PPIs), mainly by inhibiting H+/K+- ATPase (proton pump) in gastric wall cells to reduce gastric acid secretion. It is clinically used to treat acid related diseases such as gastric ulcers and reflux esophagitis.
